The monthly meeting will be held on Monday April 2, 2001 at 9:30
PM. All members are asked to attend.
There was a welcome return to the playing fields
when the senior league began on Sunday last. The team had a
good away win to Drumcliffe. The final score
was Tourlestrane 2-7 Drumcliffe 0-7. The team are away to St.
Mary's on Sunday April 1, 2001.
Good wishes are extended to senior player John Egan who is on a working
holiday in Japan.
Bingo resumes on Tuesdays at 8:30pm with a minimum prize fund of
£1100. The in house Lotto continues to grow
each week. Please support this fundraiser between
Banada Hall Development Committee and Tourlestrane GAA
Club.
Hurling training has commenced under the leadership of Jerome Quinn
and Eamonn Walsh on Saturday evenings
at 6:00pm. All interested hurlers are asked to
attend.
The first of our Fund Raising Draws for 2001 will be held at Easter.
Due to the restrictions imposed to deal with the
Foot and Mouth outbreak our ticket sellers were
unable to contact all members of the parish. Those who have not
yet been contacted, will be visited shortly.
Anyone wishing to purchase a subscription, which includes club
membership, can also contact any club officer.
Get well wishes are extended to under age player Eoin O'Donnell
who is recovering from a hand injury.

Due to the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease
in County Louth, all club activities are cancelled until further
notice.

The first senior competition of the season, the
Pick and Choose League, begins on Sunday March 18, 2001 when
the team face Tubbercurry at home. Spectators
are asked to use the disinfectant mats provided at the entrance to
the pitch to further combat the threat of Foot
and Mouth disease. It is hoped that all sporting activities in the parish
will resume in the near future as restrictions of movement are lessened.
Due to the recent spell of inclement weather use of the pitch is
limited. Those wishing to use the pitch should
contact Michael Marren or Neil Egan.

Due to the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease
in the UK, and to prevent the spread to this country, all sporting
functions within the parish are cancelled until
further notice.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Ann Wade, sister
of Mrs. Christina Walsh, Tullinaglug, and
Mr. Jackie Walsh, Ballyara.
